I just had to write a testimonial about Charlotte Reed-Price right away! My teenage daughter has difficult to manage hair. Though it's gorgeous, it's long, thick, curly and coarse. It's been a challenge to find a stylist that knows how to give a really good cut for that type of hair. My daughter was also looking to color her hair, and was dissatisfied with previous attempts on that as well. There's nothing more disappointing than spending good money for these services, only to have an unhappy teenager! :-)

Well, we have found our new stylist! Char did a fantastic job, and my daughter was BEAMING upon leaving the salon. Char really knows how to cut curly hair and maximize the "bounce". She did a great job on the color as well, and it goes beautifully with her skin tone. I'm very in tune to one's natural color palette, and think it's tricky business to color your hair and still have it compliment your skin. Kudos to you Char!

I'm sending everybody I know to Char to get their hair done.

First, she listens. She really listens. Even when what she's hearing is a little strange. I told her "It has to be wash and shake and wear. It has to be feminine and tom-boyish. And it's too long and too wispy right now."

That's all I told her, and she did it! See I am still learning about having short hair, until recently it was always long. And every haircut I got so far took at least two weeks before I could stand to look at it.

Not this time. I loved it before it was even dry! And people used to say "cute" every time I'd try a new haircutting person. And I'd have to ask them. This time they say "Hey, I like your haircut," and they say it first!

Okay, back to Char, I also liked that she talks about what she's doing, explaining and consulting as she goes. "I think I'll leave this part a little longer to give the feminine look you wanted, what do you think?"

And here's the real proof - I made my next appointment with her before I ever left the shop.

My hair is straight and fine and short, but see, I also read really good testimonials of her ways with longer and thicker and wavy hair, so I am thinking, this woman can probably do just about anything you need. You know, even if you already have your own hair person, isn't it fun now and then to just go and see what somebody else would do?

Have you ever had a terrible haircut and needed to wait 3 months or longer for it to grow in? I was hoping to hold off a bit longer and it was making me crazy.

Real Men Get Waxed Too.

Ok, Max here, (writing on behalf of my gender) to give Char’s Hair Design (and waxing) a plug. I know what you are thinking … one of the things you learn in "Guy School" is that guys don’t get girly spa treatments. Well, in this case, "Guy School" needs to change. I have my own reasons for trying a professional MANscaping, and since I appreciate my woman being “neat”, I too am rewarded by her “extra attentions” for my own tidy appearance. So, I went to Charlotte for some hair removal. Removal from where? Well, lets just say that wherever you want it gone, she can do the job. I should also add that I have never been to a spa before. My wife and her girlfriends spoke highly of Charlotte, so I gave it a try.

Arriving At The Spa.

I rolled up on my bike (ah, that’s a Kawasaki ZX-7R, not a pedal bike), and walked in. Charlotte introduced herself. When she saw my helmet, she also wanted a look at my bike – It turns out that she rides an 1100 Honda. So, it was nice to break the ice a bit with the woman who would soon be ripping hair off my naked body. Ok I wasn’t really naked – I had my socks on. (I know … Sexy!) Seriously, though, Charlotte is a total professional, and inspired confidence that this would go well. She made me feel quite relaxed for someone brand new to this sort of thing.

The Treatment.

Well, lets just say that it doesn’t hurt as much as you are lead to believe (like the movie “40 Year Old Virgin”). And, after about 45 minutes, I was free of a pretty big area of hair that I wasn’t overly fond of.

The Bottom Line.

Yes, Real Men get waxed. We just don’t talk about it. (This write up is anonymous, after all). Whatever your reasons – personal hygiene, delighting your woman, whatever, I can definitely recommend Charlotte for a Manscaping.

I have been to Char's Hair Design twice now and I have absolutely nothing, but great things to say about her! The first time I arrived, it had probably been almost a year since I'd done anything with my hair. I was feeling run down and worn out. I had no idea what I wanted done, but that was OK, because Char walked me through my options and really utilized her expertise in hair to make recommendations that would be best for me. I walked out feeling renewed and refreshed. I just went back to Char's again this past weekend. Same old story with me - I've been so busy taking care of my family and customers that I wasn't taking care of myself. Char gave me a fabulous summer haircut with red highlights. It was the haircut and style I've always wanted, but never thought I could have!

Char is amazing and she can do anything! The most important thing I can say about Char is that she really listens to you and what you need & want. I would highly recommend her services to anyone I know!
